Symptom 1: You receive the following message:
After the most recent Windows update (1803) your microphone or webcam may stop connecting or stop working altogether. The update automatically blocks software from accessing most microphones and webcams. You will need to change this setting to regain access to them so that you can get them working once again.
- Open Windows Settings
- Click on Privacy
- Click on Microphone.
Now, your headset should be visible to the system and you should be able to run the audio test!
